There will be hockey again in Lawrence if the weather is good. The start time will be at 7:00PM. Someone will get a permit for the lights to be turned on. The cost is $50 for the permit.
I searched google images for a couple potential logo's for shirts. Here are a couple that I found.

Hockey Saturday, 5:00 PM - Lawrence Rink
Hi guys,
I cancelled the Saugus rink on Saturday night since it would be too tough for most people this week especially with the assembly on Sunday for some.
So, who can play tomorrow at 5:00 in Lawrence?

Doc Emrick says "Fires!"
Steve -- win percentage: 63% , GAA 3.4, 2 shutouts
Brett -- win percentage: 65% , GAA 3.0, 2 shutouts
I dont see a difference. What’s all the hype about?
You are what you are
Some believed that Team JR were the favorites in this Tournament. But shouldn't we have known better? Its like Felger says “They’re the Bengals! They’re the Bengals! In the end they will do Bengal things!!”
Let’s face it guys, in the end, Johnny Riley teams will do Johnny Riley team things. They always collapse. They always disappoint. Frankly, they are the opposite of a Nick led team. Johnny Riley teams never do better than expected.
So if you’re Johnny, how do you fix this? After disappointing with Eric the last two Haverhill Cups who would you pick with your first overall pick?
How about another guy who has won nothing in the Haverhill Cup? Does that make sense? Its like pairing Mike Mussina and Tony Guinn. Both excellent players but neither ever won anything. Their teams always failed on the big stage. And so too will the Combo of JR and JB. They may have a solid “regular” season. They may even play well enough to justify all the preseason hype. But, in the end, they will fail.
Johnny Riley Teams do Johnny Riley Team things.
Yay obscure baseball references that don't really make sense!
The Regular Season By the Numbers:
Game 1 - (Nick vs JR) - 3-2

Game 2 - (Nick vs Ron) - 2-7

Game 3 - (JR vs Ron) - 2-3

Game 4 - (JR vs Nick) - 5-4
Elliott(JB),MVW(JB),MVW(u),JR(u),JB(u)
Nick(Jared),Andrew(Nick),Jared(Brendon),Nick(Andrew)
Game 5 - (Ron vs Nick) - 3-0

Game 6 - (JR vs Ron) - 3-1
MVW(Elliott),Elliott(JB),JR(Elliott)

The Best Regular Season Game
Lets put this in the not your finest moment category.
Its game 4. A rematch of Game One. Team Johnny vs Team Nick. Team Nick is clinging to a 4-2 lead. After a cover up by Tony the ball ended up on Johnny’s stick who, stupidly, decided to take a shot on Tony.
Now this is where some people would say “the shot was fired!”
Those people would be wrong.
Its wasn't Ron taking a slap shot. It was Johnny taking a wrist shot. A Johnny Riley wrist shot. Can we be real here? It wasn't a blazing shot. Johnny shouldn't have shot at Tony. It was dumb. It was uncalled for. I thought it was a garbage move.
I actually liked the fire and the over the top reaction by Jared. But that doesn't mean it wasn't over the top.
I wanted to move on from that sequence. We still had a game to win. But I ended up coming away more embarrassed than I already was.
I wanted our team to move on, instead I have Brendon two handing JB on the other side of the rink. Embarrassing.
Game Over. 4-2 Lead blown in 3 plays.
Im ashamed to even have been associated with such an implosion.
But we got our "revenge" in the playoffs.

Really? Griff is your guy?
Five Interesting questions going into the Haverhill Cup:
1. Is Billy Driscoll really going to play?
2. Will he wear rollerblades?
3. How many times will the rollerblade joke be recycled?
4. What joke will be recycled more: Will Billy wear rollerbaldes? or "The better Driscoll" joke?
5. Can you believe Billy Driscoll bailed?
The Haverhill Cup has become symbolized by Billy Driscoll. It may as well be called the Billy Driscoll Cup.
The Haverhill Cup has become the “Lets wrangle up as many random people with no interest in playing as we can and see if it sticks. If not who cares!! Redrafts!!! Wee!!!”
Reggie is injured? Get out of here!
Zack Leighton is in, no wait…he’s out.
Bobcat? Whose knee doesn't swell up in the middle of the night?
So after all the back and forth we ended up short not only extras but “regulars” too. Only 3 teams this year. But the cup delays for no one!! It can only happen on April 11th!!!!
The Draft
The draft order: Ron, Nick and Johnny
Teams:
Ron, Iggy, Jared, Tony and Joe
Nick, Griff, Brett, Andrew, Frendon
Johnny, JB, MVW, Melo and Elliot
The Consensus:

Nick after looking at this draft you have made the odds now 50/50 to win the cup...for the other two teams!
Two things, am the only one who hears Iggy’s voice (and laugh) on all his posts? I swear I can hear him. Its like reading “The Hunt for Red October” you always hear Sean Connery’s voice.
Second, Taylor Swift was right. The Doubters are going to Doubt.
Nick’s team sucks. Goal tending isn't Important: Yada, yada. The problem was…It made me start to doubt as well...which led to...
The Trade.
In a trade that Im not even sure Ron wanted to do. I think Ron actually loved the story more than the trade.
Brett and Griff were headed to Team Ron and Jared and Tony were on their way to team Nick.
Ok, the stage is set. The Cup 2015 was about to begin.

WEEKLY POWER RANKINGS
4-11-15
The Curse Is Broken (For Griff)
15 Brendon - As the 2nd to last pick in draft, Brendon played like the last pick in the draft. After Griff shattered his arm in six places, Nicks team had no shot at winning the cup. Make sure you send Nick an email letting him know how you feel about today's events.
14 Elliot - Funny how the player Brendon pleaded with Nick to trade for, did little all day. We can only imagine how they would've done on the same team.
13 Melo - He didn't cost his team any game; in fact, he played better than usual. It's just that he didn't win any games for his team. But if I were you Melo, I'd be blaming my team for not scoring enough. But just remember, you still weren't great. Full court, arching goals should never happen.
12 Iggy - He did what he needed to do. He cleared the ball, he blocked shots, and he only over committed leaving the other team with a 2 on 1 overtime game winner once.
11 Tony - Played good till the finals came. Angles were off, had holes in his jersey and dropped that glove nice and low for Griff to take advantage of.
10 Andrew - Nothing impressive. That is, until the playoffs. Andrew was carrying his team and being clutch while all his teammates were spent. Maybe all his teammates should have jogged every game during the season too.
9 MVW - Came flying out of the gate with the first goal of the day but cooled off quickly. What a difference a year can make. From MVP one year, to barely cracking the top 10 the next.
8 Borges - I don't know how much Brendon's slash had to do with it, but Borges didn't take over the game like he could have with his usual shut down defense. At one point he was even belly laughing during play. You might think it's a joke, but going 4 years with no Haverhill Cup victory is an even bigger joke.
7 Joe - The small rink was a blessing for Joe. Too small to go around him and there's no way you're getting through the classic knee slide. Blocking shots all day and chipping in with key goals especially with The GW in the clinching game.
6 Jared - Recounting an event accurately was never Jared's strong suit. With Johnny "firing" the ball at the net and with his shot hitting the "dead center of the net" but more surprising was that scoring goals wasn't his strong suit in this year. He has to be disappointed that his most memorable plays was losing to Johnny in every way after he slashed his stick. But I guess he did get the last laugh.
5 Johnny - He did his job for sure. He scored goals all day and even into the playoffs. One of these years he'll get to the finals. Maybe the year we drop down to 2 teams he'll win.
4 Nick - He had to make the trade. He really did. And Brett thanks you from the bottom of his heart. But Nick stepped up his game by throwing some goals in the ocean (albeit during celebration time) which helped to pick up the slack of his teammates.
3 Brett - He played great. He had some good defense in front of him, but Brett was good at weathering the momentum of the other teams and making sure it didn't amount to anything. Goalies ended up being a bigger factor than I thought. I mean way bigger.
2 Griff - Take that monkey off your back and shoot it in the face. Griff stepped up his game big time. According to Brendon's database, Griff played 843% above his normal quality of play in this years Haverhill Cup.
1 Ron - What a display Ron put on this year. Instead of being buried on defense like last year where Jared wouldn't let him shine, Ron took control, dumped Jared on Nick, and carried his team to glory with goal after goal after goal. Ron was controlling the ball and being so gritty and borderline illegal that It would've made Demaio proud. Unanimous MVP for the 2015 Haverhill Cup.
