13. John F - All he needs to do to round out his game is just not immediately lose the ball on every play. Speed just isn't enough. Guys like JB and Griff couldn't hit 20 mph if they fell out of a plane, so that's not it...
Work on those stickhandling skills.

12. Jared - Jared is a master at scoring. And cherry-picking. And not playing any semblance of Defense in his own zone, even when the action is near him. And whining about everything the referees do. (Well, one particular referee, but that was all expected anyway)
Whatever happened to TPJ? More like SPJ these days. Was there ever a TPJ or was that just propaganda? I don't remember... I do remember how he never commits any penalties...But that slash. Oh, that slash...

11. Brett - The only reason he is this low on the list is because he is always at the top of his own lists.

10. Mike D - Mike is really good at taking shots from 20-30 ft further than necessary. Drive up to the hoop and shoot in the paint.

9. Reggie - Looked like he had about 15 years of rust on those first few shots. Welcome back, Reggie. Gotta get your shot back. But then you'll probably slide down the rankings for some reason.

8. Nick - Nick should actually be the last ranked person on this list for refusing to admit his role in Frendon's injury. Let bygones be bygones, I say. But on the other hand, his team was horrible and it was probably all his fault, so...

7. John R - The 2012 version of Johnny has 38 goals Sunday night. At least. I can't remember the last time he was so open and walked in on some many semi-breakaways. His teammates found ways to set him up in the slot over and over again.
Is the decrepit stage of late-30's old-age sneaking up on him? Or has it already slapped him silly? Drink whatever Ron is drinking and then pass me some.

6. JB - His team had the extra sub in game 1 and lost 5-2. Then he traded away the extra sub to Jared's team hoping it would throw them off, or at least force Jared to sit more. Nope. They lose 5-3. Questionable Terrible leadership skills.

5. Griff - His ability to play defense for a team with only 4 out of 5 people playing defense was impressive. Too bad he had to stay back there so much. Could have rotated him around and got some better scoring chances maybe. But he loses points for laughing and berating his own teammate and captain on that penalty. Good work, Griff.

4. Ignads - How he gets so open and alone so often is beyond me. He's not that hard to miss. Does the defense just ignore him as a non-threat? Or has he figured out the secret to the art of Johnny-Riley-Camouflage that allows to get wide open in the slot in plain sight?
I think it's just lack of really caring on the part of Saugus pick-up hockey players who are barely interested...Should've had about 10 goals given the opportunities he had to bury some shots on Jack. I wish I had that many opportunities in a night. Or a season. I'll have whatever he's having, too.

3. Billy - Billy was there on Sunday.

2. Drew - I'm trying to think of negative things to say about everyone but it's hard. I wish I had the writing skills of BigBoard or WPR. Drew was terrible on that penalty shot. There.

1. Jack - The old man gets the nod at the #1 spot mainly because I don't think he's ever been #1 on any sort of a list on this site. Well, any good list anyway. He said he's retiring soon. To which I said: 'So you should have more free time to focus on sharpening up your hockey skills?' Then we both had a good laugh.


Honorable mention: Jared's Ego. Sometimes, you just have to assign a category for something all its own when it becomes larger than life. Maybe this post will take some air out it faster than a Jim McNally bathroom-break. Probably not. It will probably just inflate it like an Aaron-Rodgers-football.
