Actually Jared and I were shooting on the veteran goalie (Steve). Teams were picked pretty evenly as well. Jared, I guess total domination is the same as padding our stats!
BTW, Brett there is a rumor going around that we didn't see you on Sunday because you were too depressed over Saturday night's defeat, and were too nervous for Monday. Is that true?
Brett, I don't think the teams were too lopsided. We might have had an edge, but they were fairly close. I actually think they had an edge in net as well (although Tony played very well for his first time).
We can have more people involved in picking the teams - although typically when I'm picking them up with someone we try to pick them fairly anyway. This past week I picked first, but Borges had the next two picks. Usually if it seems like the teams might not end up fair then we'll switch things a bit.
In any event, we can have three people pick them Sunday.
After reading these recent posts, I feel compelled to offer my opinion too.
1. Brett’s analysis that the teams were unevenly matched tells me that it’s Brett that has the warped sense of evenness :) In the same post, he says split the teams. Well the best players that you mentioned were split up! John Riley and Jared were pitted against Jon Borges and Bobcat.
2. In my opinion, the single biggest factor, after raw talent of course, that dictates how the games will be played is, “who comes to play”. You see, Borges didn’t play with the fire and energy that he usually brings. From what I remember this past Sunday, he hung back on D most of the night. Whereas Jared and Johnny were feeding off each other’s hustle and determination.
3. Oh and with the splitting of the best players up, I’ll go with those combinations (Billy and Jared, John and Jon and Brett and Bob), however, you left out the biggest difference maker, Eric Fiore. Put him on either side and the balance of power is tilted considerably.
4. And finally, leaving me out of the list of players to split up is completely understandable. For whatever reasons you have, I can add to that list. I’m out of shape, inconsistent; disappear for stretches at a time, injury prone and best of all, I’m over 40! Yup, I know my place, it is on the 2nd team every time.

johnny, i can't seem to find Brett's winning percentage, can you throw that on the stat page for everyone?
The games played stat is definitely out of whack. Some funny business going on there!!!
yeah, they do seem messed up, I'll have to talk to Johnny and we will fix it...
I feel as though Ron has played more then 15 games-Maybe it's supposed to be 51?
can me billy and eric play a week with out jared and the johnny's so that we can pad our stats. i don't see why not.
Oh and can we have a goalies who has never player before too?
I hope your all very pleased with your "hard earned" stats last week

Where is the games played stat messed up? I looked quickly and didn't see it.
look at the career stats page and the stats with the chrat headed:Player Goals Assists Points Games
look at Ron's games played
Thats all i noticed
Johnny, ed belfore is a veteran goalie, but that doesn't mean he's any good.
I heard what the teams were, and you all have a warped sense of what even teams are, especially when the scores are 5-1 5-3 5-1.
No more captains.
just split the teams evenly with three people making the teams.
calculating for strengths and weaknesses.
first pick doesn't mean an advantage all the time
We should do the teams . . . Split billy and jared
john and john
me and bob
something like that
What are your thoughts
all worries i might have had were washed away monday night
As far as Ron's games played stats, the career ones are off due to a slight problem with a filter I have for games played - I can fix that tomorrow.
