Florida Hockey Party - Sunday @ 6:30

Figured we can finally start a new post. Since we have a 4:00 meeting otherwise I'd make the time earlier. Get in touch with me if you're able to come. Since it's last minute we'll keep things simple and do some dessert / appetizer type things, and then we can all order out for pizza/subs or something. Maybe we'll watch "All Dogs Go To Heaven" after we're done discussing Florida.

Ha, i think i'm in, just as long as we watch movies 1 and 2.

Me and Billy are leaving for Philadelphia, i think sunday night but i don't know at what time

Anonymous said...

You are leaving for Philadelphia and you dont know when? That's really strange...

Anonymous said...

i can't make it.

i just found out i'm leaving mid afternoon

"All Dogs Go to Heaven", though voiced masterfully by Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise, was an animated movie and therefore not part of our discussion.

Brett is going to Philadelpha because he wants to see a city whose hockey team actally made the Eastern Conference Finals.

hey john my e-mail is brettdriscollcanada@hotmail.com

John said...

Brett,

I sent some jersey info to your email.

Anonymous said...

hey john thanks for the dinner and the movies played. it was all good. by the way did anyone get julie's number, the one that kept on talking to billy? i really think she liked tony.

Anonymous said...

i like the ones from outfitmyteam.com

i like the black and white. the black one with the white under the arms would look just like an ostrich.

are they all customizable? can we have names and numbers

Anonymous said...

Billy can't stop talking about her!!

Anonymous said...

or the tour select!!

the black and white with the yellow collar

John said...

Hey Match Maker, no problem. Hmmm, maybe Billy has reason to go to Florida after all?

As for the jerseys, they have a section of the site where they have package deals for numbering ($20 for logo on front and number on the back). They also have predefined mascots (no ostrich, but there is a bird with a helmet holding a hockey stick). The only thing I'm not sure about is on the Tour Select jersey page there is a note that says "Sold as blanks only"...not sure if that means for those jerseys they do not customize it.

In any event, including shipping those jerseys (with that numbering) would probably run about $40-$45 a piece, so we'd probably only get one per person, and have to use our light jerseys from last year.

or get blanks and some iron on paper with the logo we want to put on it.

i want a real ostrich

To be fair, Billy can't stop talking about the time he ate a bowl of Jax for dinner.

hey guys, i'm back posting, just want to remind everyone to keep the posts team oriented.

On an unrelated note, are we still waiting for Brett's first ever game winning goal in his entire street hockey career?

Billy, let's drink to Brett one day scoring a meaningful goal.

This is TPJ signing out reminding you to, "make that extra pass".

Anonymous said...

tpj is back, eh? i thought the boards were a little too civil lately!

Anonymous said...

shut up!

Anonymous said...

shut up fool!

Anonymous said...

are you telling me to shut up or agreeing with me? Either way, you shut up!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

are we different anonymous people arguing or the same person arguing with themself?

Anonymous said...

What cam first; The chicken or the Egg?

Anonymous said...

The Hybrid creature known as the Chiegg

Anonymous said...

You idiot, the chiegg is just a myth! That was just a fossil of a chicken next to an egg!

Anonymous said...

Well if he's an idiot, than why did a recent paper published in a journal of archelogical studies not only suggest that the Chiegg may have existed but also could have been related to the Shellken!

Anonymous said...

evolution is real

Anonymous said...

Tell that to the Shellken.

Anonymous said...

How anonymous is all of this? It's just jared having another one of his schitzophrenic moments. He has to make up people to argue with.

Anonymous said...

sad.

what's the point of playing in saugus verse lesser tallent? It'll just lower the playing level of those going to florida!

John said...

First, it helps to have extra guys there to be able to have a full scrimmage.

Second, there's not going to be a lot of extra guys down there...it's not going to be a regular Sunday type of game. There will be specific things we try to work on, but more importantly have short 5-minute scrimmages where guys are running full tilt and we can get practice transition and working the ball around should help...not to mention giving some help to guys that haven't played much like Mike W and Tony.

Providing we try to play smart and correctly (ie no cherry picking, walking to the puck, getting lazy defensively, etc) in Saugus it shouldn't lower any playing level.

Anonymous said...

well that last paragraph just described the opposite of our whole team.

Smart
Playing correctly
Not lazy
No cherry picking

It would take more than a month to rout out all those problems from the team

LETS ORDER THESE SHIRTS NOW.

GET EVERYONES INFO

I WANT 71 WITH LOOPGENIE

NO QUESTIONS ASKED

Something else we need to do tonight...hopefully we can decide style, color, logo, etc.

Anonymous said...

shameful display of team unity tonight by the alliance/longnecks.

Anonymous said...

forget about dave. no one is bigger than the team. if he doesn't want to come on his own initiative then put tony in. i have faith i tony. he just needs a high stakes situation and i think he would raise his game

Anonymous said...

What's with "alliance/longnecks"?

it's just "Longnecks" now!

The New Hampshire Alliance was a team of vacationers that couldn't win a championship.

The Longnecks are a team of determined individuals who work hard and focus on the goal at hand.

Anonymous said...

Billy should wear
"SLAMBOT" #64

John said...

Who said anything about Dave? We asked him to come and he agreed to do so. Dave has bought his plane ticket and is excited to come. Tony is a very good goalie too, has played extremely well lately, and I have probably been the biggest supporter of his game. However Dave has been our goalie from the start...he's welcome to play anytime he wants.

Maybe next time instead of hiding behind an anonymous tag have the guts to put a name behind your post.

If you read this, you are a bum.

What's the deal with Brady? Out for the SEASON?! If Paul Pierce was our quarterback, he'd be running out of the locker room for the second quarter, jumping around, getting the crowd psyched.

Last Season: 18-1
This Season: 1-15
Next Season: 19-0

who thinks the alliance will score more than a total of 10 goals this trip to florida?

not me!!!

even with the addition of brett as a much needed right winger, it still takes him off defense(which the team is sorely lacking also, unless they're looking for penalty minutes)

And unless jb defies all the critics and scores some goals, this team is banking on a goalie that hasn't played in a year.

Only solution . . . stack a line!!!

Not saying that it'll win games, but at the very least they'll score more than ten goals!!!

Top line Bret JB Jared

Anonymous said...

The "Alliance" will score 0 goals.

Why?

Because that sorry excuse for a team has been replaced by "The Longnecks"

(By the way, Brett, misspelling your own name doesn't work. We all know it's you!)

Anonymous said...

Top line:
Brett JB Jared

Really?

the only one of those three that actually scores is jared.

real top line:
Jared, JR, Eric

Theres your goal scoring line

Anonymous said...

with eric on that line, jared and johnny won't touch the puck.

that could be a good thing though.

Anonymous said...

why does everyone think it's me.

IT'S NOT ME!!!

Even though i do agree with the persons thoughts to stack a line

Anonymous said...

and your wrong "slambot"

it's still the alliance

Anonymous said...

if we're going off last years trip to florida, the only forwards that scored were eric jared and billy, ron and bob scored on D. there's your line

Anonymous said...

Brett, how is it still the "Alliance"? The "New Hampshire Aliiance" is (or should I say WAS) a joke! Was 100% of the roster from NH? NO! Heh, some alliance.

In fact, Brett, the only thing you know about NH is the time Homer Simpson went to Krusty's Clown College and the guy in front row said "New Hampshire."

In fact, if there is any thing that this blog has proved, it's that this team is not an alliance.

It's a bunch of bloggers who play street hockey, then go on-line and type things like "Take it easy on me next time." and "what should our lines be?" and "stop being anonymous, stop hiding!" Get real.

It's time to embrace the Ostrich and what it symbolizes: Hard work and team unity (somehow).

It's time to focus on Florida. That means: hard practice, early bedtimes, and no alcoholic beverages.

TIME TO WIN IT ALL!!!!!

Brett, your response?

Anonymous said...

My response is that I hate you. Take it easy on my next time. Stop posting anonymously. What do you think our lines should be?

Anonymous said...

Hate, brother, is a very strong word. I'll assume you made a poor choice of words.

Anonymous said...

It's an exagerration, obviously, with irony.
