Hockey this weekend?

BREAKING NEWS(12/21/08): Multiple Sources have confirmed that hockey will not be happening this week. And Mark Teixeira will sign with the Red Sox. More news as it comes in.

Hi guys,

It looks like we’re going to cancel hockey for this weekend. The weather looks lousy on Sunday, and I tried to switch it to tomorrow and they had nothing available.

We will just plan for next weekend. I’ll send an email out on Monday about the day and time.

If the weather does not end up as bad is it seems for this week, we might try to play last minute on Sunday, but if you don’t hear from me then assume we’re not playing.

ok all you debbie downers, we're playing sunday, i have mike here and he's in as well and saugus hockey is happening.

No more story time from brendon about his terrible driving.

i say we get our best group of the year.

wow! I haven't this much enthusiasm in a long while!

As I said on the other post, if everyone still wants to play we can plan it. It would have to be from 7-9 outside though.

we heard you John.

We're just trying to motivate those who still might be on the fence about going out when there's only a chance of it snowing.

Rumors of Griff making his season debut have been heard as well

we don't have elders who have to decide what's best for the congregation, worrying about elderly people driving from far away, and people with young children.

We're all grown men who can make their own decisions. If you don't want to go then let JR know you won't be there so we can get a final count.

more ICE TIME for me

so what's the call?

Nick said...

brett, it may be raining down near you, but the driving conditions up here is very poor. Its not going to stop until 9 or 10. Im expecting another 5 to 8 inches. No way im going out, to play 4 on 4.

I'll give it another hour, but with the weather here it looks like we'll have to cancel.

I'm looking into possibly playing either Wednesday, Friday, or maybe Saturday for this coming week.

NO way, lets play! its not even raining where i am. its not snowing. nothing! let's play! bwahahaaa

look at all the thousands that made it to the pats game in worse conditions.

Nick i just checked the weather. and nowhere does it say that somewhere is getting another 5 inches.

especially not in saugus.

It'll be raining soon everywhere. it already is in braintree and saugus. plows are still going too.

Can you really go a week without hockey? i can't.

Somthing tells me we have a good group tonight. Me, jared, JR, griff, Mike W, Mike D, Brendan, Scott F wanted to play, Dave, Nick(most likely if john plays), will jack play goalie? Billy if he can roller blade.

That's 10 players with 2 goalies.

Me and JR need to redeem ourselves tonight for last week

Its still snowing in Saugus!

Anonymous said...

it's a wintery mix

is there a game?

my wife has been driving around all day, with 2 other girls. she said it's fine out, just be cautious, and leave early she said to make the game on time. you're all acting like it's a state emergency, and no one can drive. There are other people driving around out there.

why can't us men be as brave as those women

your right! we should have had our meeting today

atleast i still have ice hockey down the cape

Sorry guys,

I don't know what there was for snow elsewhere, but the streets in salem were not even plowed. I tried making a quick trip onto route 28 in the car, and couldn't make it back onto my street. There was now way that I could risk making it to Saugus - and trust me, if there was any way I could play it would have happened.

I'll let everyone know sometime tomorrow what day / time for the upcoming week.

it was still snowing up here when I woke up. We got about between 1.5 to 2 feet and snow drifts between 3 to feet. what a mess...
Mike

Anonymous said...

You got RAIN, Brett!

well yeah then it flooded the street and my house floated away.

And then it got really cold and the flood froze. and now my house is frozen on top of the town hall.

And i still played hockey
