anyone else think Jared resembles Erik Forman from that 70's show?

The saddest part of the whole brett situation is that he was an apiring hand model.

"The saddest part of the whole brett situation is that he was an apiring hand model."

who watched seinfeld recently? Well, when you avoid manual labor your whole life...

"anyone else think Jared resembles Erik Forman from that 70's show?"

Is there another eric in the show? do we really need the last name. Besides maybe the hair and that they are both thin...no they dont. nice try?

With the season just under way player/coach/gm johnny riley has reportedly offered jared the rights to injured brett driscoll for joel and a player to be named.

"we need to win now," said johnny

asked about the potential danger of facing ron, jared, and brett in the second half he replied, "I live in the present, we'll deal with that hurdle once we get there, and in the meantime we should be able to pile on the victories and stats."

We were unable to contact coach jared but reports out of his camp say he's strongly considering the deal which could potentially bring his team out of mediocrity for good.

Anonymous said...

Who is John willing to take????

Ron said...

Played Ice Hockey last night with no ill effects.

Update the injury report from Doubtful to Questionable for tomorrows game.

John said...

Brett, you better be able to play to compensate for Ron!

As for the rumors, the rules strictly prohibit the trading of players on the IR, so we can put that one to rest.

Anonymous said...

does anyone really expect Brett to play tomorrow?

Anonymous said...

I guarantee you Brett will NOT play tomorrow

Brett said...

i'll be there. But i'll have the video camera with me.

Brendon please bring your stand.

This way WPR can give even more accurate rankings each week alone with a video recap.

with the big games tonight, vegas has set the odds in favor of jared's team with brett out. and here are some other predictions you can take to the bank.

game 1- johnny's team comes out strong to prove they don't need brett, Jared's missing a few good players and lose to riley 5-3.

game 2- Dale shows up and ron's back loosens up to blow out riley's team 5-2.

game 3- Brett is so eager to play he decides (and correctly so) he's better one-handed than 90% of the players there. unfortunately 30 seconds into playing all his stiches tear and 2 pins actually fall out. Brett runs to his car leaving a pool of blood on the coart. Seeing this discusting sight and having hemophobia, Dave promptly removes his mask and vomits behind the net, officially ending the night with the score 3-2 dark team.

better chance that ariel will play than brett!

It's not a hard concept!!! said...

Dale here is the dictionary meaning of the work grey

of a color between white and black; having a neutral hue.

See that - BETWEEN - NOT WHITE OR BLACK, which also means NOT LIGHT OR DARK, definately NOT dark

How long have you been playing?
How many time do we complain about the grey shirts?
It isn't that hard of a concept.
Bring a white & DARK shirt

And that striped thing you put on instead was even worse.

Viewer discretion advised warnings are supposed to be BEFORE you show the picture and not WHILE you show the picture. It kind of makes it not much of a warning! Anyway, we all wish Brett a quick recovery and congratulate him and his wife on their new baby. Future Hockey all-star?

This is in reply to the comments about my grey shirt. Medium blue is close to white? PLEASE!!!!! mid yellow is close to white? AGAIN, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! I majored in art, I know a little bit about color. It's ridiculous to call me out on the grey shirt when the white team had those colors on. I thought the guy in the blue shirt was on my team! Why wear those colors if they were able to easily find white shirts on the bench. We never let anyone wear blue or yellow before when they were on the white team. How long have you been playing hockey in Saugus? Also, the fact that I was wearing a grey shirt with black stripes, black sweats, black shin pads and black gloves wasn't good enough to indicate I was on the dark team? Okay. Next time I will wear a black mask, black cape, black skin paint, black nail polish, black socks, black underwear spray paint my stick black...ride in on a black horse and call myself Zorro. Will that help? Talk about the stove calling the kettle black! (pun intended.)

Dale said...

I have one more thing I forgot to say. Hey IT'S NOT A HARD CONCEPT, Here is a question for you. Is it alright if I bring a black shirt just in case I am on the Black team and a blue shirt or a yellow shirt just in case I am on the white team? How does that sound? I also have a nice maroon shirt I can wear if I am on the white team. How does that sound? That should be okay, right? It was last night. Lastly, I like to let people know who I am when I say something negative about them. I call it owning up to it.

Dale said...

So when is IT'S NOT A HARD CONCEPT going to rag on those players that were on the white team who did not bring a white shirt? Are they exempt from your criticism? They don't need to bring white shirts, only me?

Anonymous said...

yes!!! i love this, will dale finally be the replacement blogger for brendon? Great stuff dale, i'm with ya...i will always consult you for all of my color questions since you majored in art. i used to always get my colors messed up like blue and purple, man those two look alike.

John said...

Who would have known that the controversey this week would be the color of the shirts? Justin's blue shirt was light enough that it didn't confuse me out there, but to be fair we should make sure that everyone is either wearing a white shirt or a dark shirt (black, navy blue, maroon, etc).

Either way, last night's games are already in the books. Each person just bring a dark shirt and a white shirt each week and it will solve the problem.

John said...

So Jared, are you really going to miss hockey this week for a wedding?

It's not a hard concept!!! said...

No, Dale, you art major, Grey is not a dark or white color. It's the pefect balance between the two! Duh! You can get confused for being on either side, which was the issue. And yes, I agree that Yellow or any other color is not acceptable. Wear whit eor black only, and if your shirt is off-white or yellowish white and it looks enough like white then fine. But we made Jared wear a white penny so you weren't being singled out. Just bring white AND black each week and it won't be even close to an issue. It's not a hard concept!!! Even for art majors!

"black skin paint, black nail polish, black socks, black underwear"

Anyone else a little creeped out by this?

Color Connoisseur said...

I was actually a color major myself. I spent four arduous years researching and creating colors.

Hard to believe but color is one of the toughest majors in the world. It is very difficult to get into the color department in any college.

Unfortunately due to the economy the color market has taken a hit. Color experts everywhere are getting laid off. It is a very volatile expertise.

I am currently the CCO (Chief Color Officer) for my company. I have spent countless hours reviewing colors. This is a tough job with all the young rising color experts in the field gunning for my position. Fortunately, I have such vast experience (over 15 years) working with color I am not overly affected.

Dale – I would love to get together with you some day and discuss color. I could literally (I am not joking) talk color all day and night. I dream about color. I would love to meet with you Dale.

Color Entrepanuer said...

You stole my joke! Only I am serious about it!

Anonymous said...

Can someone color blind play street hockey? I mean, everybody would be wearing grey in that case, no?

Color Connoisseur said...

Excuse me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is no joke. I don’t know who you think you are but color is not a joke. We color professionals take color very serious. Maybe to you color is just something to look at but to me it is a lifestyle. I can’t believe someone would disrespect my accomplishments by saying my post was a joke.

You will never make it in the business as a color entrepreneur. NEVER!

Dale - how many times have you been asked not to wear grey?

How's that art degree working out for yah?

brett said...

i think matt was just looking for an excuse when he passed it to Dale b y accident.

It's not like everyone was doing it all night long. it only happened once.

The team names are "white' and "Dark"

And grey is darker than white so it fits in the category of team dark.

Anonymous said...

i think the team names are light and dark, in which case yellow would be fine, but grey would not.

Basket Weaver said...

I majored in Basket Weaving and just got my PHD last year.

You are not going to believe it, but my dissertation was on Basket Weaving and the Cornucopia of Color Combos!

You guessed it, I know colors too!

Listen all you "think you know it alls", Dale is spot on, he knows what he is talking about!!!

Sorry for the shameless plug but...

I’m having a real hard time finding work. I minored in knitting and can make anybody some real nice Hockey Stick Booties, in any color you want!

Only 5.95/per bootie. You supply the yarn.

Dale said...

Anonymous. Your bias against me is ridiculous. You make so many excuses for the other guys wearing yellow and blue shirts. Two wrongs don't make a right. I shouldn't have worn grey, you are right. Now be a man and tell me who you are and stop hiding behind this website and also admit that those guys who weren't wearing white shirts should have been told at the BEGINNING of the game to get a white shirt and not after the fact. Also, I really am not going to wear all the black stuff I mentioned and paint my nails in case some of you didn't know. It was a joke to show what extremes anonymous probably needs me to go to stop whining like the little baby he is. So don't anyone get all freaked out and get your panties in a bunch. You are yellow anonymous. How's that for an art lesson. Now,here is a medical lesson. You have No spine and here is a sense of smell lesson. Your diaper needs changing so you will stop whining. I can't stand cry babies who don't have enough guts to confront somebody they are talking trash about. It's childish and cowardly. I'm sure if I knew who you were, and I have my suspicions, I will have a few things to say about you personally. Can you handle that?

Dale said...

By the way, thanks Brett for your common sense reasoning on the subject. I couldn't agree with you more.

Nick said...

im not sure who is more entertaining, brendon or dale.

Dale said...

I have to admit , all the cracks about color and my art major comment are pretty funny. I stepped into that one. After I posted it, I looked at that comment and went.....oops, too late.

Matt S said...

Just for the record Dale. I am not "It's not a hard concept" just in case you thought it was me. Oh and by the way I was an art major as well and STILL work as a color consultant. Not to toot my own horn. If a person was only able to see in black and white He/she would still be able to distiguish the pale blue from black, or a maroon shirt from white But NOT GREY. By the way in the beginnig of the game before you got there when I found out I was on the light team I asked if my shirt was light enough and I was told it was. But when you showed up with a grey shirt I immediatly thought you were going to change into a dark one because you have been told at least once or twice before. If you got picked on the light team you wouldn't even have needed to change. What does that tell you about light or dark. and what good is a color expert that only paints in grey. I gaurantee every regular player had 2 shirts a light and a dark. You were the only one to have 2 grey shirts. and Brett I admit when I make a bad pass. This was WAY different because we were comlaining about the shirt all game. and almost gave it to him on several occations. That being said hope to see you all next week. xoxoxoxox

Anonymous said...

Brendon?...... who's Brendon?

Dale said...

Matt I did not think it was you in the least. I am not sure why you are attacking me or think I am attacking you. And just because I wear a grey shirt doesn't mean I only paint in greys. I don't get that analogy at all. I stand by what I said: a blue shirt is not anything close to white and everyone who is trying to justify it is being ridiculous. I thought he was on my team. Again, I am sorry I come late but, let me say again so there is no confusion, I work til 7:00 pm. I can't prevent being late. Does everybody understand that. No one hates showing up late and having to work on Sunday more than me. I like to practice shooting before the game and stretching out, but I can't. For the record, I work with someone who is color blind and he has trouble with blues and greys and not just greys. His name is Ted for the doubters. If you can guarantee that every player has a white shirt then that's what every player should have worn that was on the white team. Also, weren't those whites given to one of them? That would mean they did not bring them themselves. Regardless, Don't single me out when 3 people are not wearing white when they are on the white team. It's the same issue. It's BLACK AND WHITE not just BLACK. The Black team has a right to have the colors as clearly defined as the white team does. Just because they are on your team doesn't make it less of an offense. And I agree with BRETT'S Comment. I don't confuse grey with white like others do. To me grey is on the dark side of things. Maybe this is because I scored that goal and you are trying to justify it. I don't really get the venom from you towards me. I feel I pressured you to make a mistake and that was the reason I got the ball. I was running towards you. If I was on your team why would I be charging you? Also, why would you pass to a player on your team running the wrong way and at you. I wouldn't have taken the ball from you, would I? I don't believe you confused me with one of your players. You made a mistake like we all do and you are taking it out on me. I passed to the wrong player that night, too and your team scored because of it. I have no excuse for it, I made a mistake. It was my fault. End of story.

Dale said...

Matt for you to say that someone who only saw in black and white would have an easier time with blue than with grey is strange. I say it would look pretty much the same. You ever see black and white movies? You can't tell if they are wearing blue or grey or green? Do you want me to prove it to you? I will bring 2 black and white photos. One of a blue shirt and one with a grey shirt. You tell me which is which, okay?

Brett said...

just a word to the wise Dale.

There's alot of anonymous posting and it'll never change so don,t waste too much time complaining about it.

By the way, no one complained when dale switched from a grey shirt to a gray striped shirt.

Dale said...

Someone I live with just pointed out to me how childish this whole thing is. He said ...When is somebody going to take the high road? I agree with he. I will try and make sure I bring a black or at least a very dark shirt and also a white shirt and leave it at that. Hopefully we can agree to disagree and just move on.

Dale said...

One person posted a complaint about the stripped shirt. I agree with you though, Brett. Again, you are the voice of reason. Can you be my shrink? I will give you $50 an hour. Just kidding! I may not even go on here to dispute what people say anymore. It's a colossal waste of time. I just want to play, that's all. I don't want bad feelings between me and anybody. I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings. We are all brothers and we should respect each other.

matt s said...

Dale I didn't say someone would have an easier time with blue than grey .yes that would be strange. If you drop all the colors out of the pic you can tell that a pale blue(which is what our guy was wearing is significantly LIGHTER than maroon or DARK. your team had a guy with a BLUE shirt on too. did we complain about him... no because it was DARK. and dale its not about COLOR its light against dark. you could have been on either team. as a matter of fact you wore a grey shirt on my team once. I was the one who gave you a WHITE shirt to replace it with so the BLack/dark team could ID you. please no grey shirts thats all i am saying. PS my comment has nothing to do with you being late I know why your late and thats no big deal. One more thing I think you are one of the fasted guys and all round skilled as well, you don't need the edge with the grey shirt. and it is and edge. not much of an edge but an edge can be the difference of a one goal game.

Dale said...

I meant to say I agree with him... and not he. OOOOPS!!!

Dale said...

Just to wrap it up, Matt I don't wear grey to get an edge. I don't think that way. It's not planned. I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT!!!! I don't think that way. I don't cheat. That's not me. It doesn't go with the way I play does it? Do I play dirty?

Anonymous said...

and we didn't coplain about the stiped shit because we through in the towel by then I wish you could have been on our bench when you came out with the replacement shirt. I am not attacking you neither. It's just a conversation. I left my frustrations on the rink floor with my dislocated shoulder. which by the way is wicked sore today. Im out see you next week hope your on my team>
