Johnny and Jared on the same team for the second week in a row but lose 4 out of 6 games. Will they go for the third week straight? Or have they had enough punishment and go back to being arch-nemises? I think they play better when they're playing against each other, rather than with each other. Their chemistry just aint workin. They need each other's head-to-head competition to fuel their motivation. I think there is too much pressure on them to dominate when they are on the same team and they just fall apart. This is very telling for future tournaments, though. How can they dominate in a tourney if they cant do it in Saugus? Or do they just need Brett back to cement their team? But Brett on their team would be too much offence on one side, so the other team would be unbalanced. A lot of questions here. Not sure if anyone has the answers.
could it be that Jared & John can't handle the Ron & Brendon combo?
How did Mike D end up on the white knights?
What excuses will there be for this week?
1 - Jared has a cold 2 - 2 goals into the last game Dave says "I'm done" 3 - Everyone was hacking John 4 - Bradly played aweful
Overall the white knights played good together. There was a blip in game 2 that the white knights were shut out in, but they rebounded well and went back to what won them game 1.
They were even able to win with Brendon deciding to just just down and catch his breath instead of subbing out. Did any else see this? Brendon what was up with that?
did we have a game where we didn't have to stop and take a break?
Is there a reason why we don't play Saturday afternoons / night every week?
Too much offense? Theres no such thing. You can never score too many goals. In tournaments i almost always end up playing D anyway. Both times in florida i did. Plus me and Johnny are the two most defensive minded forwards in Saugus. Maybe Mike D is too.
I'm not saying this is the case with John / Jared, but sometimes people just don't click when they play together. With that said, this is really only the 2nd straight week that they've played together. You can't compare how John / Brett play together because they spent probably 90% of last year playing on the same team. I think it's just going to take them another week or 2 to get in sync.
I would assume they're going to want to run similiar teams again
Take away that aweful 2nd game where everyone around poor Steve was exhausted and even grandma could score, Johny and Jared didn't really show much. Could this be the end of an era?
Actually, Jared and I did just fine in Montreal, so I'm not too worried about tournament play.
Brett and I play better together because our styles mesh very well, but I like playing with Jared too and don't think you can accurately judge the results based on two weeks.
As for making excuses, Jared said before we started playing that he was sick. I have no idea how much that impacted his play except to say he didn't look like he normally does out there.
As for Dave, with the game tied at 2 in the third game we were going to have a faceoff and he said to me that he was done - that he had nothing left. Not even 5 minutes later he had given up 3 straight goals. The first two were shots he would have stopped earlier in the game, and the one Nick scored he would have done a better job with his rebound control. Dave said on the way home he didn't bother even trying to go down to stop them.
The White team can view that as an excuse if they want to, and hey they did win the third game so congratulations to them. However, if Dave was feeling as he had in games 1 and 2 then we probably win game 3.

how does ron only have 41 career goals? He gets like 8 every week, has he only played 5 weeks?
when we play on Saturday and we play early I expect a recap before Sunday!!!!
easy for you to say...
Nick take it easy on me this week, remember my built in cold excuse.

Good point Mike D. I love it how people try to guess who anonymous is, yet they can't get it right for the most part!
That wasn't me, just look at the time of the post
My meeting starts at 1 so there is no way I could post while at my meeting
Besides I sign my posts

as much as it would be nice to see them play together every week, i like shakin things up.

I will tell you one thing, the recaps usually writes themselves...i havent had this much trouble writing one since game 4 of the tourney...
i'd like to shake things up to. I havent played with chris, john, or jared in a long time. I like to be with different people.
well you can develop chemistry by switching them up. give them another week. they gave David Ortiz 3 months to get going
Brett is too selfish of a player to reach the 100 assist milestone.
(The other 99 were accidental deflections and technicalities.)
l2p if you saw me and JR play last year i don't think you'd have that same opinion
Chemistry takes time and sometimes it just doesn't happen
