I sparkle like the sun against the ocean
I have the roar of a tiger but I am softer than my mama's lotion.
I look more like piece of birch than a stick of dark pine
But despite that I still get a lot love from the line
I put a lot of effort into my game
But sadly, I still think I play the same
Friends, I have one last clue for you
I could easily run right through you.
Any guesses?

im very interested to see how good people are.
John, you did write 5:30.
hahaha.
Chris
Be careful youngster !!!!
Actually , I don't think I play the same! cant be me!!
Its Chris. who else would it be!!!! birch.. pine.. he's not that dark.. and the run right through you is a dead giveaway.. its gotta be Chris.
brendon this post has nothing to do with you.
Dont be so self-centered :)
stats are up
And they remembered to add the tbody tags too. My work is done.
Nick you may continue your assault in earnest :)
Brendon, I think a large factor in that is how they play. Both try to use their slapshots to score from long distance a large part of the time, which means that if someone turns the ball over to them they simply wind up and fire away.
That's my take anyway...
Brendon,
These stats can't even be compared. Especially since Ron has played 61 games.
Player Games
Ron 61
Brendon 211
Jonny 207
Jared 206
Dale 129
You, Jonny and Jared have more than three times the games played than Ron. Obviously, playing less than a third of the games will seriously impact a career total stat like this.
A better stat would be based on scoring combinations divided by game which I bet Ron would have a much better stat if it was based on amount of games played.
Ahh, thank you Griff, your a scholar and gentlemen.
But there's no doubt I've shot from the outside alot more then 2 and 3 years ago (didn't play last year).
Ron, I still need a "pretty" way to display the cards...what are my options?
BTW, I had forgotten to send you the layout of my database, but I'll try to send them tomorrow.
BTW, Brendon - by the time Borges gets pushed off of the list, MAYBE he will be playing again with us.
It won't be for some time, as the announcement last Thursday indicates, but he made it to his first meeting this past Sunday - hopefully a sign that he's woken up and is on his way back.
brendon, what makes you think this is about you?
please explain.
Its about chris...fairly obvious
except for the sadly part about not getting better.
does anyone agree with that or have I been improving?
who's got my back
Nick don't make me grab your stick and swing it around like a crazy man!!! lol
Chris, I think you've improved!
thanks John!!! sorry about my errant pass the other day.
It actually wasn't errant , your anticipation got the best of you.
chris, i think you have improved from last year, no doubt.
Have you improved as the year has gone on? Im not as sure.
I guess everyone has their opinion.
I Think that I play pretty well. I seemed to get picked right away, so others must feel the same.
I am very satisfied with my play though, considering I am older than most but still makes it a challenge for most who play against me.
and doggone it people like me!
Chris - Nick put "But sadly, I still think I play the same"
I don't think he was saying people don't think you've improved
I do
it was the being able to run through people is what made me guess you, not that other comment
Chris, I thought you were the one shining player on your team this past week. You played very good defense, and truth be told because of you the score remained close for as long as it did. I haven't played with you a whole lot, but I've been impressed.

The riddle was fun to contemplate, I give you credit for that.
I became even funner when Brendon thought is was a slight on him.
But... you are no Sampson when it comes to riddles :)
Chris, a tip of the day for you, keep practicing your stick handling without looking at the ball.
What part of that riddle did Brendon think applied to him?
Thanks for that tip Ron, what would be a good drill for that.
Thanks for the props Dave.
The part about sparkling like the sun against the ocean!
The part about being soft is what through me when thinking it was Chris...I don't think he plays soft at all.
Nick, I think the biggest thing is expectations. We've tended to expect guys to show dramatic improvement far too soon. We'll see someone start playing well for a few weeks, and then our expectations get elevated.
The fact is though, it takes a lot of time for people to develop as players. Let's take Nick for example. I think he's really had a breakout season (possibly sparked from last year's MTL trip). But he's been playing for 5 years or so? On the other hand, Chris has been playing just about a year. It's going to take him time to develop a level of consistent high-level play, and be able to add more scoring to his game. The improvement though is definitely there from last year.
AND... My hair is always neatly picked out and my clothes always match!
John????? 2/26/10 ?????
Sorry Chris...talked to Jamie and we're in.
I forget if you said we were going out or coming over (after that traumatic incident last week certain things said beforehand are a blur!). If it was coming over then please let me know what we can bring.
i will get back to you on that!!
