Let me start off by saying that I have been playing Saugus Hockey for several years now. I play on a semi-regular basis; more than Lenny, at least, so my opinion matters :). I never say much of anything. I enjoy sitting on the "blog sidelines", watching the constant bickering over trivial matters. Its fascinating. The people (especially Brendon) baffle me. But recently, no one seems to baffle me more than Brett. The supposed "Better Driscoll". The Man that claims to have "made Johnny". A man who never made a mistake in a tournament and the guy with the "magic fingers". Where has he gone?
Let us looks at the facts:
1. Brett has played 9 Games all year. In comparison, Ron L, the most inconsistent (in showing up) of all Saugus Hockey Players has played 9 games this Year.
2. Brett plays Hockey on Mondays on a Regular Basis. Because Brett can not handle two hockey games in a week, it has become a regular occurrence that Brett chooses to be injured on Sunday night...around 5 pm. Good For Him.
So, the question is: Why has Brett slowly stopped showing?
My theory? Brett fell so far behind in his beloved stats early, that he didn't want to attempt a comeback, understanding that timed games limit stat totals. So he milked an injury to have a built-in excuse for being behind the Saugus Elite. John, Jon and Brendon.
One thing is for sure...Brett has terrible attendance and thus can never have a say on any "league" moves decided.

recap is coming. Hopefully John comes through with my info soon.
Nick it all starts with the recap, you start writing recaps and stats get posted, people become more interested and show up.
im just waiting on some stats...I dont remember scores...who scored..yada...yada.
i loved the 9 games i played this year (plus the 2 weeks in net)
I dont like playing 4 on 4 or 5 on 5 nor do i like playing 2 nights in a row. Therefore i chose to play where there is good hockey being played. On Friday night ice hockey which i love more than any other form of hockey. and Monday night where there is always a good game and where stats aren't even kept. It's all about the wins baby. Getting 1 goal vs a great team is better than 6 vs (pick your saugus goalie).
I will be coming back now that the A-Team and B-Team theme can actually occur and set teams be in place. Once we determined there was no A vs B i lost interest. This week should be great with both good goalies and almost complete set teams.
Nick I tried calling you back. Sorry man
woW Brett! whats that supposed to mean "both good goalies"?............and ice hockey is the purest and graatest form of the sport.
