Put the keys on the Davenport...

Another poll? You bet. The question came up of shaking the D-combos up...so the question is:

What combo is best for the team?

The winning combo sticks together? Sure, if it makes sense.

I think Nick / Mike combo is the best, but then that leaves Bobcat and Me as the other pairing. I dont think thats best for the team. Thats why the Nick / Bobcat and Mike / Me combo is the best. I believe that gives us the most balance.

That being said, I think having 4 Defensemen is a luxury and not a necessity. 3 on Def is plenty. Especially now that Mike W is out and if we are missing others, I think Mike D should play forward. Forwards expend more energy. They do a lot more running then defensemen. The more forwards we have, the better for the team. If JB, Jared, Ron, etc..... If they can get even 1 extra shift off a game, the better they will be in the third period. Just my 2 cents.

remember billy that griff was missing so he's gonna fill in for Mike W. We had 1 too many all along. I vote Nick and Bob

The chesterfield you mean?

Can't wait for playoffs, although not sure if we are ready. I'm pretty sure every game will be a one goal game, so it's a good turnaround sign that we are winning these close ones.

sorry guys recap will be up tomorrow night..

billy, there is a reason why the bruins go with Chara and Seidenberg in the play-offs, you always go with your best. You dont dilute two lines. Balance is nice, but the best combo should stick together. Would you seperate Brett and Johnny to help out the third line?

The real question is what pairings are for the best? Part of me likes what we have, but the other part doesnt.

To me, Billy and Mike play a very similar "finesse" like style, while Bob and I play a more "heavy" style. Would it be smart to sepearte styles and introduce variety in the pairings? I dont know. Change really isn't needed, but it was an interesting thing that came up.

Though I will say this...are pairs needed at all? I want left D all night long and switching as pairs helps with that, but other than that I dont see the advanatge of set pairs. We all work fairly well together.

the schedule has been posted for our post season. And it looks like we have a great chance to go all the way since they split up the teams into divisions. If we could somehow end up in 7th place it'd be the best cause we'd get to play a tired team who had to play at 6 and then play us at 8. Lets win next week and put ourselves in the best possition we can
