10 o'clock at night, while most of America enjoys Monday night football, storage wars reruns and chance to get some Zs before work the next day, we decide that playing dek hockey is worth it. Good for us.
The truth is we couldn't win last night. If we dominated the North Stars then we just did what we were supposed to do. If we stumbled, tripped up or dare i say collapsed, it would have been another reason to just give up. A reason to finally get a hobby that we are actually good at (checkers??).
So yet another Monday at Dracut has come and gone. A new jersey but the same sad results. A lineup shakeup but with the same incompetencies. Strategy assertions have come in droves but have lead to things unchanged.
Its so much more than just a lack of talent despite that being a major obstacle. Its our fundamentals. We are the Patriots secondary. We back into wins. Beep. Beep.
So now we look to yet another rehashed ranking system. But this time with a twist. This is festivus style.

The Airing of Grievances it is. I know what you do well. You know what you do well. I dont want to hear about it. Its time to evolve, become better or at least become consistent at not being inconsistent. Every last one of us.

i will say i think the idea of this post is mostly constructive.
i think our team is at a stand still. on the cusp of respectability and yet knocking on the door of suckitude.
ive made a promise to myself...no more chipotle before a game.

Can we invite frendon to next weeks game? I don't get why not. If Zack is allowed to play why not Frendon.
There is so much more Frendon can do for the team (and blog) than Zack.
Frendon played once in 6 months and we killed him for being terrible and never let him play again. Johnny was horrendous for almost 2 full seasons and we kept inviting him every week.
Frendon worked out fine in Saugus when we did that league.
We should atleast invite him when we only get 7 or 8 people for the week. This next week would be a perfect game to get him back in shape with.
I just don't get using the "he's terrible" excuse to not invite him. He wouldn't be the worst player on our team. Not by a long shot. Plus then Nick could put him in the poll question for the week
he is great for the blog and he definetly wouldnt be the worst player. the problem is he's uncoachable and stubborn. lets take a vote. if people want him back and he can play we can give it a try. i dont have anything against him.

And while i agree with your point of him being stubborn and uncoachable, i think that describes in whole or in part most of our team already. Plus Bob is off the team anyway so there's no one to coach him.
Just think, he wouldn't be able to cry about the inaccuracy of the stats anymore.
I just think he has or atleast had something to add to the Gamewinners.

I dont care if Frendon plays, but here is the question: Will he be offended by the new jerseys or will he actually take them as a compliment??
Remember the bet that him and jb had about whoever lost the points race would have to wear a shirt with the winners face on it? He should just take it as him winning the points race.
There isn't any extra jerseys so he'd just have to wear any baby blue shirt he has

If you've let other "bad" players play in the past, why can't you let Frendon play is the question. That's where you draw the line? At Frendon?
We cut Frendon 3 or 4 seasons ago essentially due to his lack of hockey talent and I don’t think anyone was brokenhearted over it. But since then we’ve had Reggie, Brad, and Zack all play for the team. All of which we knew lacked top end talent(less skill than Frendon IMO) yet you still had them play. You’re reasoning is flawed as to why Frendon shouldn’t be allowed on the team.
You act like we’re adding someone who’s going to be the worst on the team. He’s not, so therefore he’s making the team better.
How bout if frendon promises not to count how many beers we have at the bar after, then would u want him on the team?
I just don't want to have 12 guys. if we are short guys we should ask him to play. And this has nothin to do with my obsession with ice time

I hate rotating guys thru lines. It ruins the flow. Two full lines is perfect. And I want wrong motives to be one of the options for my poll question

12 guys work. You make 3 sets of wingers and just have 2 centers rotate with eachother. i actually liked it when we did that in leominster a while ago.
Question: Can you learn finishing skills? I think thats one of those where you either have it or you don't. For example, I do not nor will ever have finishing skills.

The tournament will be held at the sports plex in Feasterville PA.
games will run on saturday 7am until sunday around 8pm.
