Thanks for the early warning. I will update the main board but so far from people I have heard from this week: me, Brett, Lenny, Brendon, Joe, Rick Green are in. Still waiting to hear from anyone else. Unfortunately the following week will be out for anything since we have our Circuit Assembly with the Super Bowl that Sunday.
No, not at this point. If the guys that are playing this Monday want to keep fresh and won't play this Sunday then we will have to cancel for this week.
Next week with our assembly and the Super Bowl will be out so it will have to be the week after.
Why dont we play in the Lawrence rink? Why do we keep trying to get enough guys for Saugus. Does paying 15 dollars for crappy hockey make it worth it? Are people afraid of being killed in Lawrence?
I realize its outdoors and subject to weather, but we could play on Saturdays so your late meetings don't interfere and then in March we could switch to Sundays with the longer days. Does anyone absolutely prefer Saugus hockey to Lawrence hockey?
Brett, that's probably the biggest problem - the weather. Between cold, snow, and ice it makes it tough. I do like playing on a floor too, and being able to use a composite stick.
However, once we get into March and it starts getting warmer then I have no problem playing outside. The only problem then would be how much daylight that we have, but the days are longer anyway. I would actually like to play outside most of the summer if possible.
In the meantime, I will plan to get a game going in two weeks for Saugus.
Lets not forget the fantastic and observant referee who didn't let anything slide. I would love to do that again in a few weeks, maybe first week or two in march.
Just invite everyone we want to invite now for the first weekend in March. Give everyone time so they can't make plans for something else. It fell apart last time we tried cause we only planned ahead by 2 weeks
