I would need to try to book the rink by tomorrow. Also, stats are up from this past week.
I haven't been able to reach the rink yet to see what is definitely available for Friday. We can plan for 7:00 right now, and I will try to confirm later.

Did anyone else find it ironic that Jared was telling me not to pout after game 2 last Sunday while trying to get a 3rd game in?
I texted Melo, potentially we could have him and my father in net on Friday if Brett can't make it. Although, we might need Brett out of net just to have enough guys.
Right now we have: me, Billy, Mike D, Nick, Jared, Mike W, JB. Waiting to hear back from Brendon and the Praters but I think they are out this week.
I am checking with Joe and Ron too.

I just got through to the rink but unfortunately, the rink has already been booked tonight (unless we played at 11:00). Tomorrow evening at 7:00 is available if people can play.

Got to bed at 2 am. Rough morning to say the least. Hope everyone had fun.
If there were ever a week for a recap, this would be it. Nothing special needed. Just a recap.
I thought it was one of the best weeks we've had recently. Recap Nick!
Sticks were just tossed at center ice and teams were randomly selected.
Dark: Johnny, Nick, Mike W, Brendon and Ron w/ Joe (G)
White: Jared, JB, Griff, Mike D and Billy w/Mike M (G)
First game result was a pretty quick 4-0 lead for white. Game ended 5-1
Trade time... Brendon for Billy.
Result: Team dark won game 2 by a score of 5-0 and continued winning by ripping off 3 maybe 4 straight wins. I think at the start of game 3 or 4, we switched ends (changed goalies)
The last game, don't know if it was game 5 or 6, but team white won 5-2 or 5-3.
So overall it was a winning night for dark either 4-2 or 3-2.
I think the BWW stop for wings/beer before the game made for some interesting smells around the ice. JB put it nicely saying, "WOW, that was a thick one". And I can attest, those spots stayed rancid for like 5 mins straight.
Some highlights... Jared started strong, then was non-existent for the middle games and came alive for the last game. Team white made a bunch of defensive changes for those middle games, but dark still came out on the winning side. JB made some good plays (passes and shots) but again BWW had an effect as I caught him from behind once or twice to keep the ball in their zone. Mike D continues to be involved in the offense. He scored and assisted on a bunch of plays. A couple were some really sweet plays.
Dark used their D well for a bunch of nice point shots. Both Billy and Nick scored some nice goals. Both Billy and Nick also transitioned the ball out of their zone well. I especially noticed some sweet shiftiness from Billy to elude a forechecker and then make a nice pass to his forwards. MVW was a fore-checking machine and easily got control of the ball on the dump ins. There was lots of zone time that lead to some good scoring chances.
Goalies both played well. Joe and Mike both were big in their goals being in good position and moving to make some nice saves.
Brendon pulled his hammy and was abused several times as a result when he was on D. Brendon also stepped on Joohnny's stick. I fed Johnny for a tap in, but Johnny's stick broke at the blade.
Notable blow ups... nothing from Jared this week. But Mike M lost or threw (depending on which team you ask) his stick and Brendon felt a penalty shot was in order. The complaining lasted several minutes and was culminated when Brendon (dropping the ball for a face off in neutral ice) just threw it outside of the face off dot. Jared got the ball and went down to score... but the complaining ensued (by the dark team) and the goal was dis-allowed.
On a pass or more like a sure fire icing, I was able to deflect it ever so slightly and ran down the ball in the corner. Feed Mike (or Johnny I forget) for the game winning goal. A slight bit of complaining and I said take away the goal because I didn't yell I touched it load enough, but team white let that one stick and counted it.
And finally one more Brendon moment. Brendon tripped someone behind his net. I forget if that was Ward or Billy, but they went down fast and really hard... Brendon's rebuttal. "He stepped on my stick, not my fault". His denial worked... no penalty was called.
Brendon was absolutely brutal.

Yeah. That would be me that Frendon tripped behind the net.
Apparently when he gets beat on a play his go to move is to put his stick in your feet, trip the person, and then say "Its not my fault, he stepped on my stick"
Sounds like nicks move of grabbing or sticking the hip put. Or even Johnny's one handed hook. Cant you guys just play clean hockey? Its no wonder why the teams at dracut hated us :)
