The initial trade offer was Jared/Melo for Billy and Jack... I poo pooed that one.
Then Nick persisted and offered Billy and Drew for Jared and Elliot. That was interesting.
Not thinking I would do it, I threw out to Nick... hey would you still add the goalies into the trade. Nick then came back asking if that was an official trade offer...
After about 10 minutes my desire to help Jared build a dynasty of him winning 3 Haverhill cups turned into me thinking hey, "my biologic clock is ticking" and I need to be the first one with 3 Haverhill Cup wins, not Jared.
So I will go for Cup number two in about a month and in the process stop Jared from getting his third.
Bring it on Baby... Now I just hope the odds go against that dreaded 3rd redraft.
All i know is that Johnny's team has the most players with cup experience. Its like having 3 mark recchis on 1 team. You really think any of you can stop 3 mark recchis?
When this trade went thru I was sitting with Jared and he turned to me and his face had turned ghostly white (even whiter the normal if that's possible) and with a broken low voice said "help me john, I can't win this" it was the saddest 27 seconds of my life as I laughed in his face and ordered another Suffering Bastard at the chinese restaraunt. Jared knows he is now saddled with Melo and almost every child that plays the game. Jared isn't playing in the Haverhill Cup, he is running a day care!
