The problem is we force it upon people who clearly don't want to,
The guys that are regular in Saugus want to do it (for the most part)
And Brett loves this.
Nick it's not my fault...it's Brett's fault. He made it sound like it was cancelled so I went and made other plans thinking it would be rescheduled!!! I can play from 12-4...how is this thing going to go 4 hours with 3 teams???

Iggy I almost did the same thing as you. I think Brett thought it was going to get people all fired up and in an uproar of a postponement. But all it did was make guys go ho-hum ok then, "what can I do Saturday afternoon instead..."
I know, I'll schedule that root canal I've been putting off... or maybe I'll knock off the bottom 5 items of the honey do list from the misses. Ya, ya that will be better then doing anything else going on that day
Ron id be more than happy to never hold another haverhill cup as long as i live. But i get pressured from others to keep it going. And now that people are complaining, its reinvigorated me to make sure this prestigious tournament happens this saturday. I made plans to be there april 11th, if you didnt, then too bad. YOU (plural form) need to plan to be there if you want to be there. Otherwise we dont want you. No one is irreplaceable. And if i recall, everyone was texted and asked to make sure they had nothing else that day. The haverhill cup can only be so accommodating.
I cant wait to win this saturday and keep the cup and the mvp trophy for another 3 months.

Hey my commitment has been there. Everyone knows already that I took 100% fake credit for clearing the surface of the site of all that snow. Even I gotta admit that snow blower video was awesome

And BTW... the soccer players really did sign a permit to have the lights turned on. My new friend Joe (I think that was his name) said the lights are so good you can't tell it's dark out (when it's dark that is)
Anyways, they play week nights from Monday to Friday, but Saturday night and Sun night are open.
So if we ever want to play under the lights that venue is open (and free the last time I checked)
I would much rather play in Lawrence under the lights. Only need 8 guys, 2 goalies and a gun for protection. Especially since all the times are pretty crappy in Saugus. But i don't remember seeing lights at the rink.
