Round 1: One 14 minute "play in" game to the finals between 2nd and 3rd seeded teams.
Finals: Best of 3 series
Rules:
- There will be two seven minute halves to each game with a 2 minute intermission.
- Overtime will be a shootout for every game except the finals. Olympic rules for the shootout. Next goal wins for the finals.
- Every penalty will result in a penalty shot.
- If a player commits 2 penalties in one game he will be ejected. Any double minor will also result in an ejection.
- If a player is ejected, his team is still allowed to play 3 players, they will not be forced to play a man down the rest of the game.
- Arguing may be penalized but will not count toward a players total penalties for ejections.
- Slap shots ARE allowed.
- Covering the ball behind the goal line results in the OFFENSE getting the ball in the corner.
- Yelling at the opposing goalie and saying "i got it" in an unsportsman like manner so as to trick him, can result in a whistle and a stoppage in play at the refs discretion, and possession given to the other team.

I'm with Nick on wanting to draft already. Trades are fun to consider and do.

This whole thing is a giant crock...two reasons I don't play, 1) Brett made a joke about us playing. 2) I told Jared I could play till 4:30 and he said this goes till 6 at least. Two lies that result in an asterisks for anyone that wins. A three team tourney is not worth getting your name on a cup, you have a 33% chance of winning... That's garbage!! If you win this you should be ashamed of your name being on that cup!!
I agree Iggy... I'd be fine with this weekend being a per-tounament for the "real 4 team tournament" that includes all regulars like you, Billy and Demiao.

Finally! A few people on this blog making sense!
No one to blame but yourselves. So Iggy knew I was joking and still made other plans? Billy and Demaio say yes to April 11th and then a month later say oops assembly that day. Blame yourselves. I tried to move it, but wasn't going to reschedule at the expense of the players who actually did make sure they could play April 11th.
Ron, you're more than welcome to get a four team tournament for the Haverhill cup going. This isn't saugus, there no percentage of regulars needed on the roster to make the game official. We can have a Haverhill cup every week. I don't care. But the tournament this Saturday will be counted even if only 4 people show. Even if only 1 player and a goalie show then they get their names on the cup. And the asterisk will be for a credit to them for not constantly complaining and showing up Iike they said they would (if I can fit all that on the tiny plate)

Oh sorry Nick I meant to rsp to the group text, but work got in the way. When you have a 1:1 with your manager you usually should pay attention to that meeting.

Bret as a side note I did not know you were kidding!! I took your joke as serious...maybe you should joke less. Is Roger goodell know for his joking, what about Bud Selig? I am pretty sure they are not remembered for there jokes!!! I would hope a commissioner would take their job a bit more serious!!
