I'm Sorry
10 Johnny (-3) - Go back and read my last thoughts on Johnnys play. Stop relying on people to get you the ball and just go get it.
9 Brendon (+2) - Its always nice to be rewarded for doing all the little things right. His forechecking was a huge factor in many goals scored for the white team. He even, for what i believe was the first time in his life, actually took responsibility for something he did wrong instad of trying to excuse his way out of it. Thats probably the last time he'll slip up like than and appologize for his terrible play.
8 Billy (+2) - No one benefitted more from the trade than Billy. He was able to get off that titanic of a roster with dark and was able to experience what its like to play for a real TEAM.
7 Ward (-2) - Only moves down 2 but i was most disappointed with his play. Hes regressing back to a time where you have to ask yourself "did Mike even play last week?"
6 Jared (-4) - Woof! What a debacle. Its unusual to see someone quit before the night even starts. He conceeded that he wasnt going to have a good night going verse Brett and Borges and decided instead to freak out over loose sticks laying on the ground that he just didnt have the agility to avoid. Whats it liked to get owned by a 16 year old?
5 Demaio (+4) - Mike torched the dark team with 7 goals. It was like he was playing just another game in the 60 and over league in dracut.
4 Nick (-1) - Not as bad as eveyone else thought he played. Atleast he didnt complain that no one was helping him do his job for him like Jared was. Could you imagin if Nick asked Jared to play better defense because he himself wasnt getting the job done? I cant either.
3 Dave (+3) - You're gonna get weeks like this when you play ok and move up 3 spots because everyone else stunk. There was that one glove save on Joes slapper that was pretty nice.
2 Borges (+2) - The captain had his eye on all situations and was calling for subs left and right so that white team would be fresh all night. It worked to perfection, leading to production from all players. Id listen to Borges' direction any day. Unless he tried to tell me something during a timeout in a tournament in Montreal.
1 Brett (E) - A bold move to try and win a scoring title on defense. Its working so far.

excellent post WPR
Remember when Jared went too far last night?
Prayers don't make the list? I feel like wpr just caters to whoever still reads the blog
WPR said that I had a "first" last week....here's another first: WPR giving me more credit than was due in the rankings!
I couldn't anything going last week and I would have thought I would have just been left off the list altogether in place of a Prater (prob Andrew) ...
HOWEVER, I think I have figured out WPR's formula for who makes the list: Do players move up and down based on performance, and to a lesser degree, attendance? Sure. But who actually MAKES the list is highly dependent on who WPR really wants to talk about.
And since he loves me so much, I don't think I'll ever NOT be on the list...
Praters were too boring to talk about this week. I do disagree with much of order of the list, though...
I creep on the blog almost daily, but I don't expect to be on WPR since I'll always be last anyways.
Mike, as long as you're playing with us enough times to get on WPR's radar, you'll be on the list.
And as long as I'm alive and kicking (and even if I'm not), you'll be ranked higher than me, or at least nicer things will be said about you than me. :) So relax - one more week with us and I think WPR will want to talk about you. (I'm sure that's what you really want, too)
It's refreshing to see someone admit to creeping on a blog. I know people do it, but they never admit to it...
Wait, what kind of creeping? Brett might take that to mean some sort of pedophilia ...
What am I talking about? "might". Definitely.
I like this: "6 Jared (-4) - Woof!"
-- Hey Peterman -- don't you mean "Reaaaaaar"???
"yes thats the one!"
Are we playing Friday?
Stats!!!
I'm 50/50 for Friday, at the moment. Chances go up if it rains.
We need some discussion about this week's rankings. Should Johnny be ranked last? I don't think he had a good game last week, but then again I think it was more of a product of his whole team not playing well. Has his performance been bad all weeks? Or just this one?
Should players be ranked differently if they switch to a non-primary role? For example, Ward played defense and you could make the case that he wasn't a top-four D, but is that a separate ranking from his offense? If, for example, he plays offense for 3 weeks, and then switches to defense for one week and has a bad game, should he slip because he was put into a non-optimal position?
Can a player cherry-pick and not play Defense and still rise in the rankings for scoring a bunch? I think I'll just cherry-pick now and rely on everyone else to hustle and get me chances on the offensive side. Sounds easier. ;-)
When Ron comes back this week, I think he'll push me off the list...oh, wait, no he won't - WPR likes me too much...I think Ron will make honorable mention, and then WPR will have to kick Johnny off the list -- now THAT would be a first, I think...
I can play Friday
