I think a redraft is needed. His extent of injury was never disclosed and therefore effected where in the auction he went and how much a team paid for him.
I had a bad reaction to the muscle relaxer they prescribed me. Have been in and out of the hospital three times this week. So no, I won't be there this week. Or next week.
Of course I don't blame Brett for trying to get off that team...something tells me there will be about six or seven more redrafts over the next few weeks...
Drew's wanting to play. Frendon is a fierce competitor who gives it 110% everytime he plays. But As the commissioner, sometimes I have to make the tough decision for a player, so as to protect them from themselves. Maybe if there was an accurate count of how many ribs were shattered I could make a more informed decision. But just a small innocent play in the corner could lead to rebreaking the ribs or even a punctured lung.
But I'd need 75% of the captains support.
Just purely thinking of what's best for frendon and his family long term. Hope all you captains do the same.
I'll wager dollars to donuts that somebody cancels within the final week and Drew gets to play anyway. I'll also wager that the final draft will happen on that Saturday before we play :)
I'd rather have the guy with 1-14 broken ribs be the back up to the other 20 healthy guys instead of the other way around. And seeing as frendon is guaranteeing someone will drop out, he should have no problem being a reserve.
I'll be healthy by then. And I don't want to be a reserve because I made no guarantees. If I wagered dollars to donuts, all I'd lose is some donuts...which isn't so bad if I were wrong :)
If you think about it, I actually have a much higher chance than most of you to be healthy at the start of the Haverhill Cup. Why? Because while I'm resting and rehabbing, you guys are playing each week, which increases the probability that someone else will get injured.
So, going by Brett's logic, if I am apparently too much of a risk to play because I was injured 5 weeks before the Cup, then seeing as how it is now only three weeks away, if anyone gets injured now - whether it is from a game-related injury, or whether we shove our fingers into a table saw - then that means you are out and Drew will have to take your place.
I guess you guys better be careful...any type of injury from now on means you have no chance of playing in the Cup...at least according to FrankenBrett...
You guys have three goalies for Sunday? How's that going to work? Alternating shifts? Two goalies in one net? Personally, I'd like to see one goalie play out, but still in full pads!

In for goalie

Should we play in lawrence in 2 weeks?
Will Ron shave the stash if he wins the cup this year?
Where else would we play?
I'm assuming that all the snow and ice will be gone by then...
In saugus? I'm wondering if people want to play in lawrence the week before the tourney.
Oh, I thought you meant the Haverhill cup. My guess is it will all depend on how much snow gets melted from the rain this week and next.
What's the latest on the goalie controversy?
What's the update on who is playing and who isn't Sunday?? Is Brendon going to heal up in time??
I will post a roster update later today...
It's three weeks away...I am optimistic I will be healed by then. If not 100%, then at least enough to play...

i decline a redraft
How exactly does the last person picked necessitate a redraft? How would anything be different??
u weren't last
Frendon, you playing this Sunday?

Redraft
Not on my account. I have three weeks to rehab. I'll be there.

lol
If Frendon wants to play its his prerogative
oh please Brett. You're too much.

And how many ribs do you have on your right side? 14?? Wow. You must be like some sort of superhuman bone vampire or something!

How do you rehab broken ribs?
more hospital trips?
Rest = rehab
But it's not my ribs that need rehab anyway. More like my upper back. Time heals all wounds.

Why does frendon care so much about a week he's not playing?
Just to confound you, Brett. (Or maybe I'll surprise you all and actually play....or maybe not...I guess you'll just have to wonder)
Drew and I am in... even with all these shamanogons
when will we hear from kervyn?
Either an hour before game time or not at all
Updated roster:
John, Dave, Brett (G), Melo (G), Jared, Ward, Nick, JB, Mike D, Billy, John F, Drew, Iggy.
If Ron or Joe are in then each team will get a sub
