Weekly Power Rankings

Back to Normal

1. Brett - He was all over the place, from playing D to backchecking and carrying the puck through the neutral zone, his puck possession allowed Jared to run free and set him up over and over again. Brett deserves the top spot this week and it kinda wasn’t close.

2. Jared - He’s the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. And I guess he was apparently gypped out of a goal last week but didn’t complain about it. Not surprising that the bench didn’t record a stat properly. Just let us know which game and we will add it back retroactively.

3. JR - Johnny is starting to come into form but he couldn’t seem to get his patented post-up, then curl and snipe a quick wrister like he has done so many times. He was shooting on Elliott so two goals is kinda disappointing for him, but he was one of the only bright spots on offense for the white team.

4. MVW - Ward did a lot of pointless running out there, and man did it pay off. Hat trick - Good for you, Jack!

5. Chris N - The younger Chris was very involved in both offense and defense for the dark team. He has some nice plays and he helped keep the offensive momentum going. His next assignment should be to study Nick and learn to play defense like him, and he’ll get to the next level.

6. Nick - Speak of the Devil, Nick was effective but he sorely missed Billy out there, the Robin to his Batman. Had some nice defensive plays but ultimately Jared and Brett proved to be too much to handle.

7. Dave – I couldn’t really see any goals that were his fault. He was on the unfortunate side of facing Jared and Brett all night so it is what it is. Dave is still a top notch goalie but they got the better of him this time.

8. Elliott - Made some nice saves but didn’t face a ton of pressure. With better shooters, he probably doesn’t win both games. Props to playing net though, we need all the goalies we can get.

9. Chris Y - The older Chris may be 50+ but he plays like he is 49. B-ball is his primary sport so watch out for those low zone plays - he’ll box you out and use his body to create space. Gotta get that slapshot off a little cleaner from the blue line though.

10. Pete - He tried hard, you could see it in every play, he just needs to settle and control the puck more. Too many neutral zone turnovers, clean that up you’ll see your game improve drastically.

11. Scotty P Jr - only missed one wide open shot instead of three so that’s an improvement I think.

12. Teddy - Go back in net.

13. Jason - Played his usual physical style but it was a little too…illegal. When you hold people trying to get back onsides that is interference. This isn’t football, you can’t block 10 yards past the line of scrimmage.

14. JB - He let Frendon get under his skin and it affected his game. The only thing more embarrassing than crying to the refs about a non-call is crying to NO REFS about a non-call. We get it. You got hit with a follow-through or whatever. I honestly didn’t see it, but I’m sure it probably happened.

Sidebar here: After I got home I noticed a few more welts that I didn’t know I got last night including a couple of red slash marks right under my third nipple. Don’t believe me? I’ll text the pics to you but when your wife asks who is texting you nipple pics I don’t want to hear about it. Point is: bumps and bruises are part of the game. Suck it up.

Now, there is a difference between getting accidentally clipped by a stick and someone deliberately slashing your face off. We all know it wasn’t that, so stop crying or next game we will force you to wear a diaper for the night.

15. Frendon - played like trash this week. Couldn’t get a shot to go on net, had a hard time controlling the puck, wasted so many scoring chances. Terrible, terrible hockey. SMH.
