Yeah Brett, we definitely could have used you this week. We did actually win the first game, but talk to Jared about why his team got the W instead of us.
Brett- there was an interferance call that was made on what would have been the winner for game one for the white team.
That call was made by Steve. I personally didn't see it becuase I was on the bench. He said Brendon interfered with him. Jared voiced the call, but never said he didn't want the goal to count. Not counting the goal was directly from Steve.
That first game went on for at least another 10 to 15 minutes.
Looking at the stats pretty much sums up the kind of night Scott had. he got 10 goals.
The white team (which I was on) played hard, but we just couldn't connect and click as a unit. We had several odd man rushes and poor shots were made instead of passing to very open team mates. We at one point had a 4 on 1 and a slap shot was taken just a few feet pass the blue line. We all made stupid plays.
The dark team was on point all night. Steve made some save on point blank shots and had some really good games. Scott was a force as expected. Jared had a really good game as well.

Yeah,to his credit Jared said that he was in favor of the goal counting, but Scotty and Steve were both against it, so we didn't count it. Ultimately that cost us big since speaking strictly for myself, I was pretty much spent after the next 10 or 15 minutes trying to get the win.
As for the earlier times, I'd love to make it earlier right now, unfortunately the earliest we can make it from my meeting is 6:30. That is, until January!
make it 6-8. Brendon your meeting will end around 5:45, get out quick, we wont start games until around 6:15-6:30 ish...you will be there on time...we will all still get home an hour earlier...
I didn't hear what anyone else was really saying about the interference call.
Like I said I personally couldn't see it.
I did notice that after that call every call that was made after became a 5 minute discussion.
As the night went on it got worse.
I personally like the physical way Scottie plays. I think it's part of the game. There is rubbing in racing and there is bumping in hockey, or at least that is how I look at it.
Brendon, Scotty got his fair share of unintentional slashes too. He goes hard into the boards to get the puck...if someone wants the puck they just have to battle him for it.
scott is a different player than all of us. He probably didn't even feel you hitting him or him hitting you.
He plays the type of physicalness that i would compare to Bob, except he does it more effectively.
i know i wasn't there, but i'm sure it wasn't a "body check".
and if everyone starts taking offense to scotty's style and trying to match it, then there's gonna be alot more injuries, but not to Scott cause he's twice everyones size.
my advice to you brendan is to not change your game just cause someone checked you. That's not your game.
Jared or you or dale or my game isn't to check or be physical. if other players do it, thenn make them pay for it by playing your style, beat them with talent not your body.
Scott can do both, no one else can do it to level that he does.
if you get away from your style, your whole game will suffer as a result.

sorry for not being there johnny. Look's like you held your own though.
i hope Jared and Scott are proud of themselves.
We were all very disappointed in you Brett!
who's gonna do the power rankings?

thanks for filling in Brendan.
When the games start earlier in Saugus i'll be there.
Five to seven would be great

Yeah, I didn't find any problems with Scotty's style of play at all.
Scotty is bigger and better then most players and he plays very hard.
Of course it's gonna seem like he's physical.
yeah i meant 5-7 in january.
i couldn't do 6-8, but whatever.
whatever works for everyone.

I was matched against Scottie a good majority of the time when I was on the ice to the point were he was calling Scott Avery.
Is Scott physical - yes
Does he body check, I don't think so.
If Scott body checked someone they would know it.
I bumped him and Jared as much as he did me.
Is he just going to let you go into the boards and get the puck - no
Is he going to label you - no

That's my opinion
