Haverhill Cup Final
15 minutes after final round 1 game. One 14 minute game for all the marbles.
Rules:
- There will be two seven minute halves to each game with
a 2 minute intermission.
- Overtime will be a shootout for every game except the finals. N.H.L. rules for the shootout. Next goal wins for the finals.

- Every penalty will result in a penalty shot.
- If a player commits 2 penalties in one game he will be
ejected. Any double minor will also result in an ejection.
- If a player is ejected, his team is still allowed to
play 3 players, they will not be forced to play a man down the rest of the
game.
- Arguing may be penalized but will not count toward a
players total penalties for ejections.
- Slap shots ARE allowed.
- If the 2 teams who don't make the finals want to play a consolation game they can. If they don't, a 15 minute break will serve as the rest before the finals.

overtime rules? I would like a quick overtime in regular season maybe even two on two, then a shootout
I just watched the weather on NECN they said any rain wouldn't be coming in until Saturday night so we should be all set for a great day in the 50's
Is the final a 3 game series? If so, will the losing teams be playing in between the games of the finals?

The bigger question is will JB get last pick 4 drafts in a row....
I figured shootout for every game except the finals. Thinking back to montreal though, a shootout in the finals was pretty cool. But with a best of 3 for round 1, I feel a shootout is fair, where as the finals is only 1 game and shouldn't be determined by a shootout.
As for the consolation game, I understand if a team wouldn't want to play a consolation game for no reason. There's no prize for 3rd. Nor is there really any bragging rights with coming in 3rd.

I assume you mean Nicks team. While your observation is accurate, Nick also plays the last game of the season which could mean back to back games going into the playoffs. Someone has to not play back to back.
Upon closer examination I see only Borges and Riley's team have back to back games.
So the team that won it last year, and the runner up both have the easy path to be at their strongest in the finals the following year!
I guess that's how things work in the bush leagues. (which still has my backing and support)
But I see how it is. The jig is up before the puck drops, but will it work? It appears we can start to form the conspiracy theories and have them ready to post on Saturday night.

Ice hockey will loosen my muscles up. I moved a lot of weight this week during my cross training sessions. Got a straight conditioning workout session tomorrow that will heat the old muscles up a a bit too.
I'll be ready Saturday. Bought a 2nd ankle brace today. Nothing is going to slow me down this year.
Just gotta talk the family into Sunday Service instead of Saturday, so I can get plenty of beauty rest Friday night.
