So in case you missed last night, here's a review: We're all old and injured. That about sums it up, I think...
Oh, and I found a left-handed stick on the bench after everyone left. I thought it was Jared's so I grabbed it... Why do I keep thinking Jared plays lefty? Maybe because he's always playing left wing? IDK.
Anyway, it's not his, and, as a matter of fact...I don't think anyone else who played last night was lefty, so......
Unless someone from last night claims it (and is, in fact, a lefty) then I guess it's up for grabs, as it was apparently left behind by the team prior to us, I guess.
I know JB is a lefty...who else? Nick? I can't remember ...I'll tell ya what: Next game we play I'm bringing it, and the first lefty to come up to me and claim it gets it.
It's a nice stick, too. Super light. Easton Synergy HTX, #43 curve, seems barely used. The price tag is still on it: $130.
So just to recap, if you want this stick, all you have to do is three things:
1) Read this post (done)
2) Acknowledge that you read by blog post (this is harder for some people to admit)
3) Be a lefty and be there next game (this has proven to be very difficult for some of you as of late)
If that doesn't get a few more people to show, then, I dunno, I give up. I wish we could get enough guys to have lines, like in the olden days...(humming softly: Mem-o-ries...of the way...we were...)
Oh, yeah, and before I forget due to old age, as last night was the last game I will have played while still in my 30's, here are some meaningless stats for your enjoyment:

| 3 | Dave | 2 | 0 | 0.00% | 10 | 5.00 | 0 |
** A couple of notes: The game 2 trade was Brendon for Ward; and the Goalie switch happened towards the end of game 2, so Chris was goalie for all of game 3, but I don't remember what the score was when he stepped in for Dave during the second game, so Dave inherited all the goals for game 2, even though one or two might have been on Chris when he subbed. Kinda like how a pitcher in baseball can be on the hook for runs scored even when he gets yanked...
...actually it's nothing like that; but I don't have anything else to go on, so, maybe John will enter it in differently, but for all intents and purposes, we stuck Dave with 2 full games here, deserving or not.
Chris: Expect to suit up next week! (and expect stacked teams, too!)

I'm a lefty! It's not my stick, but I'll take it if no one else claims it.
Let’s hope JB doesn’t beat you there next week!
Just out of curiosity...exactly how many lefties do he have that play with us on a semi-regular basis???
The lefties are as follows:
Nick
Bill T
JB
Drew
LEE
Well, Nick, JB, and drew were not there. And I seriously doubt Lee would spend $130 on a stick, so my guess is that it had to have been left behind by the team before us, but we can ask him anyway just to be sure he didn’t leave it....
